Lakeshore Digital Bank is a technology-led digital bank and is searching for a Chief Compliance Officer to join its senior team. The role carries real ownership: it sets direction for the function, makes decisions that matter and is accountable for results the business can measure.

You will work closely with the executive team and with colleagues across the organization, turning priorities into plans, plans into delivery and delivery into steady progress. The search is led in confidence by Valley Ridge Partners.

Responsibilities

• Set a clear annual plan for the function, with meaningful measures, ownership and decision points.
• Partner with executive, commercial and operational leaders to translate priorities into reliable delivery.
• Build and coach a capable team through direct feedback, well-defined expectations and honest conversations about performance.
• Identify risks early, communicate trade-offs plainly and recommend a disciplined path forward.
• Represent the function with credibility in leadership forums, with regulators or investors where relevant, and with outside partners.

The right leader balances a strategic view with hands-on follow-through, and leaves the function stronger than they found it.

Required qualifications

• Proven success in a comparable Chief Compliance Officer or closely related leadership role.
• Sound judgment, structured problem solving and the ability to explain complex issues to varied audiences.
• A record of leading cross-functional work and earning the trust of senior stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services or a closely related industry.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; advanced credentials are valued where relevant.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in a growth-stage, sponsor-backed or transformation-focused organization.
• Comfort using data to frame priorities and judge impact.
• Professional credentials relevant to the discipline.
